I got a call this morning, that my friend (Jon's wife) that he had taken his life during the night.
Going through a divorce and lost his job a few weeks back.
My only friend from high school that we still hung out after school.
We were best friends for 15 years.

How you think someone is perfectly fine and something like this happens.

Please keep his wife, 3 year old, and soon to be new born in your prayers.

I am sincerely sorry to hear this man.

One word of advice to you, don't beat yourself up over thinking "what should or what if".
Seen it happen to good friends of mine and I had a hard time dealing with the fact that "I should have known" and trust me, you can't sometimes.

That's what i'm fighting right now.
He was just at my house a few weeks ago and we just chilled and talked like we always have.
He seemed like he was getting things back together and moving forward.
He kept telling me everything was cool he was excited to start a new chapter and turn things around in his life.
Myself and his other friend from years back both couldn't find any signs as to why.
We'll never know.

I'm sorry for your lost of a good friend. I know what you are going through. I've lost two close friends that decided to go down this road. You will question yourself as to why you did not see it coming or blame yourself. Speaking from experience once someone makes that decision to end their life they have planned for it without letting anyone know. They hide it from all that care for them.

They are so caught up in their pain they do not realize the grief they leave for the ones that love them. I'll be glad to help if you need someone to talk to.

Add me to the list of guys that have lost best friends to suicide. The 14 yr anniversary of my best buddy in the world shooting himself is coming up and I STILL dont understand...but I know its not my fault.

And its not your fault either. Hang in there, it gets better with time.

Prayers sent!

Even trained professionals don't always see it coming. My cousins had everything going right in their lives but something in their minds caused them to make that decision. You and the family have my heartfelt prayers. It's not going to be easy but you have to trust that you are not to blame in any way.

Thanks everybody for your prayers and advice.
This is the first time anything like this has happened to someone I know.
Were going to his funeral in AL tomorrow, being it ended this way is just as hard as loosing my grandpa a couple weeks ago and my grandma 7 months ago.

He was 26 years old.

When it rains it pours...
