Anyone know how the HFH ended up this year? I run my own "deer ministry".. each week a group of my bud's mainly church members process deer and donate to our local help center.. last year we did 40 plus deer.. this year it was about half.. the donations were way way down.. when I carried my last venison there this morning I asked the lady did she have much deer from the HFH program.. she said no.. they only came and brought some once this year.. last year me and the HFH processor here in the county were fighting for freezer space there..lol.. The strange thing is.. we had more deer killed here this year than last year..

Probably less donations due to meat prices being so high in grocery stores.

I donated one to a local meat locker and paid the 40.00
processing fee. I got a recipt for tax purposes. The processor told me that he only had a few hunters willing to donate and pay the fee. Times are tough

I started out the season on a strong run and thought I'd have a couple to give away. I gave one to a friend, then never killed another deer for the whole month of December. \:\(

Thank you for donating. The week after Thanksgiving the HFTH donations were up over 10% from last year at that same time. We will know the final results in about a week. All of the HFTH processors will be taking donated deer this weekend during the juvenile weekend. Good luck young hunters.
