Looks like a cool design, but I'm leary on a couple of things—resharpening the blades and penetration issues. It appears that it will be next to impossible to resharpen so a person will be stuck paying $25 bucks for new blades constantly, and with that many angles and surfaces what effect does that have on penetration?
I sent Mr. Rager an email on these and some other questions as well, and I will share as soon as I recieve a response.

I just recieved a response from him and here it is. As I thought, it looks like it will be a no go for me based on potential penetration issues and blades not being able to be resharpened ($25 for replacements). Cool design, but I see too many potential issues (penetration and tuning) and cost effectiveness.
Mr. Rager,
I was wanting a little more information on your toxic broadheads. I just saw them on a forum and the design is very unique and interesting. I've been a fixed blade user for year, but I'm always open to new designs—as long as they aren't mechanical. What is the blade thickness? How durable are the blades and can they be resharpened? What is the minimum k/e you tested these at and the results? The only thing I'm slightly concerned about is potential penetration issues with that many surfaces and angles—what testing have you done in this area and what results did you find?
Thanks for the quick response, Chris. What about the blades? Can they be resharpened?
Sorry Andy. The blades are replaceable. I wouldn't recommend sharpening them as the weight and tolerances are very critical Chris

These jug tests are fun but don't tell me squat how the head will perform.

Good morning Andy. Thank you for the email. We have done extensive testing with various bow setups. The Toxic will not out penetrate a conventional 2 or 3 blade fixed blade broadhead but it will penetrate with the mechanicals that are so popular. That was our mission. We're like you. We're not fans of the mechanicals. I used to own Rocket Aeroheads and that is why I sold it. The Toxic is extremely accurate, very quiet and leaves an unspeakable wound and bloodtrail. I'm sure you'll be impressed. Sorry for such a short response but were at the ATA show and were swamped Take care Chris

I forgot to add his initial response....duhhh

I would like to see some kill shots on live deer with those broadheads. They look cool. But last time I shot a Thunderhead 100 grain I watched the deer die about 40 yards away.
