I have gotten my 7 mag sited in to the best i can for right now but wanted to see what yall shot to try a couple of different loads. I zeroed in with some PMC ammo and i can't find it anywhere (my dad used to shoot it) and i need somthing easier to find. I would love to know what yall shot from your 7 Mag.

The best one is whatever your gun shoots well. Unfortunatly none of us can know that from here. I suggest buying a couple of different boxes of commonly available rounds at wal-mart, dicks, academy or Franklin Gun shop and then seeing which one you shoot well.

Good Luck

I shot the Hornady Interbond 139 grain Interbond out of my Model 70. Sub MOA at 100 yds.

I reload, so this may not help you but, I like the Hornady 162 grain Interlocks and H4831 powder. This load will produce sub MOA out all three of my 7mm mags.

I reload almost everything but some of my friends love Hornady and from what I see them shoot with it I can understand why... I shoot the Hornady in my 222 until I can accumulate enough brass... The only reason I have not reloaded for it yet is becasue before I got set up to reload it I really wanted to shoot the gun (Steyr SL varmit gun from the 60's with a set trigger) and the Hornadys shoots into nice little 1/4 inch groups out of that gun 100 yards.... so I figured I would buy two more boxes of the stuff and shoot it up and then reload the brass....

Long story short... Try Hornady

This says it all, although I might add most of my buddy's that don't reload use Hornadys and they seem to do real well in a number of different calibers.

I reload almost everything, but when I do buy boxed ammo I try to find Hornady, great stuff. I bought some 450 Marlin to get some brass for reloading and it was accurate.

the Hornady Heavy Magnum or the Federal Supreme with the Sierra bullets is where I would start.

they actually run the speeds they claim.the Rem and Win stuff will work fine but both have very low BC and are slow,,deer wont notice in the field, but to get reload quality factory loads the 2 listed above are as close as I have seen..

not counting the Black Hills and Fed GMM 308 loads.

My Ruger has shot almost all factory ammo very well. If I was shooting factory I would shoot the 150 gr corelok. Cheap and shoots under 1" in my gun.

For hand loads Im shooting the 162gr hornady BTSP. Shoots 1/2" if I can hold that steady. Holds together very well and gives good expansion.

When I had one I used Winchester 150 gr Ballistic Sivertips because my rifle liked them. Honestly you just need to find out what your rifle likes and go from there. Might cost a little money in the beginning but you'll be happier in the long run.
