So what amount is .223 ammo going for these days?

I have 5 or 6 boxes of the steel case .223 in the FMJ round, and I'm wanting to trade them for .223 in a hunting round. I know the hunting round is higher, so in local guys want to do alittle trading?

Steel case was worth about 1/2 to 2/3 of brass case, depending upon brands and loads, before the panic. If I was looking to make your trade, that's what I would base it on.

I've seen 1000 rnds of the steel cased 223 selling for $700 now..But before the panic,it was about $6 a box..So you could realistically sell it for $12 a box now..

The last show I went to it was $600/1k for steel case and $850/1k for brass, but it was setting on the table and not sold on Sunday.

So would it be fair to say I would trade 6 boxes of the steel case .223s for 3 boxes of .223 hunting rounds?

wally world still sells steel case tulammo for 4.99 per 20 +tx if you can find it.

The only problem with that is everyone has gotten greedy for ammo. I was at a local walmart a week ago to buy some more .223 and a man waiting in line before me bought the entire supply around 1,000 rounds leaving none for anyone else.

I bought three days ago boxes of 20 for less then 5.00 a box at walmart

I just recieved 1,000 69 gr SMK bullets for 210$ 1,000 primers 30$ and 100$$ worth of powder,,
so it will cost me 310$ to load 1,000 rounds of the most accurate 223 ammo I have ever shot..
