Interesting to note all the pro-Morgan comments on the website.

I watched it when it was on.... Did you catch the second segment where the "Polish" friend of Morgans was on there talking gun control?
Morgans statement "people like that" are the reason he is pushing for more gun control made me see red....
Glad Jones did put him in his place and show him how it feels to be railroaded when trying to prove a point, such as when Piers interviewed Mr. Pratt and called him an idiot....
I just hope Mr. Jones over the top performance and conspiracy theory talk doesn't prove to be a negative among those on the fence about more gun control..... in other words the media showing Jones as a gun loving mad man!!

I wish Alex would have shown a little more self control; this will be used against us by the gun grabbers. They will portray all gun owners as machine gun carrying lunatics hell bent on revolution.

I agree, to me it wasn't what he said cause I thought he made some good points. I just wish he had said it in a calmer manner.

Just watched the CNN video on another forum and wanted to know what the numbers are, UK news media already crunched the numbers. Also believe this is the article that Jones referred to.
UK is violent crime capital of Europe It means there are over 2,000 crimes recorded per 100,000 population in the UK, making it the most violent place in Europe. Austria is second, with a rate of 1,677 per 100,000 people, followed by Sweden, Belgium, Finland and Holland.
By comparison, America has an estimated rate of 466 violent crimes per 100,000 population. France recorded 324,765 violent crimes in 2007 – a 67 per cent increase in the past decade – at a rate of 504 per 100,000 population. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/l...-of-Europe.html

Yes, but how many murders were committed in the UK with a gun last year? Isn't that all that really matters, at least so we're being led to believe by the Obama administration and other democratic operatives?
Sad that so many U.S. citizens have a phobia against guns instead of mentally deranged murderers. By the democratic mindset, we could eliminate cancer simply by making it illegal for there to be cancer.

I doubt a rape victim cares what weapon was used to subdue her.
Ditto a murder victim's family.

From what I understand, more people are murdered each year in the U.S. by something other than a gun, such as ball bats, golf clubs, strangling, poisoning, etc.
Secondly, those with gun phobias, when talking about "gun deaths", will commonly lump in the criminals killed by a crime victim who just happened to have a gun for defense. In other words, many of those "gun deaths" were the "bad guy" criminals getting killed by the "good guy" with a gun.
The irony is that in most circumstances, the only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. And it appears the best way to stop a bad guy (with or without a gun) may be a good guy with a gun, as evidenced by the much higher serious crime rates in countries (and places) where there are a lot fewer "good guys" with guns, i.e. London and Chicago.
Very difficult to measure just how much violent crime is PREVENTED by the mere presence of guns. A good start might be in comparing the violent crime rate of a city such as Chicago to a city such as Dallas.
