I posted this in the classifieds also but i thought it may get more looks here. Im wanting to buy a chocolate or black lab pup. Im going to use it for duck hunting so id like it to have a hunting background. If you have any upcoming litters or know someone who does let me know.

Good luck and I hope you do your research before laying the cash down. The popularity of labs attracts breeders (including breeders who hunt) who will recklessly breed anything for a buck. That's usually a recipe for major disappointment.

Chaneylake can probably steer you in the direction of a good breeder.

My dogs training was primarily for shed hunting but he learned that so fast I rolled him over into duck hunting and than blood trailing. He'll do any of it any time just wants to hunt period and be part of the "team"

Got tons of pics if you want to see more...

Man I like those pics...I've raised labs for about 15 years and as long as the breeder is reputable (sure looks like HH has that down) you can't go wrong with a lab. An added plus is they are great companions and just awesome with the kids.

I'm thinking first week of April roughly. Once the pregnancy is confirmed and the pups are born Ill require a 100$ deposit to reserve a pup... At that time your welcome to come see them if you'd like. What are you looking to get male or female?

The reason I charge a deposit is because everybody wants a puppy than when it comes time to get it people disappear. I could have had a person lined up that was 100% positively going to take a pup the day they were ready to go. It let's me know their serious and going to show up to get him. If you don't want to give a deposit that's fine I understand and wish you the best of luck finding a pup...

LOL...I'm looking into building a kennel and keeping some pups to train for sale starting next year. Training a well bred lab for duck hunting is easy peasy comes natural just have to give some positive reinforcement. Shed training a dog is a little more difficult but not hard. Getting a dog to duck/shed/blood trail on command is just getting a dog that's 1 in a million...When your ready Tophat let me know...We can work out a deal for some duck hunting and crappie fishing ;\) \:D

I know hollar hunters dog Buster very well as do my four year old and one year old daughters. He treats those kids like they are his own. Not to mention the dog does what he is trained to do with incredible efficiency. Super cool dog! Ill be owning one out of this upcoming litter myself since I just had had to put down my dogs last year.(old age).

Ha! I certainly enjoy hunting for sheds with him. That nose doesn't miss anything and he cover a lot more ground than me... Just fun to watch him work...
