Im looking at reloading my shotshells but I had a few questions.
1. How many reloads can you get out of 1 shell?
2. What kinda of powder do you use?
3. Plastic wads or the disk shaped?
Just a few that google hasn't fully answered.
I'm reloading for 12 guage

Let me preface this by saying I haven't reloaded a shotgun shell in 10 years, but I loaded thousands upon thousands before that. Some hull deigns may have changed, but for the most part they are pretty much the same.
1. Depends on the hull. Remington STS/Nitro27 hulls lasted the longest when I was doing it. I never really counted but I would guess they would go 5-8 times before they started cracking at the crimp. Win AA and Federal Gold Medal hulls lasted about the same.
2. We used a lot of Hodgdon Clays. You didn't say if you were reloading for hunting or target use, but I am assuming you are loading for target/upland, and if so Clays or International Clays burns clean, and is a fairly low recoil powder.
3. Plastic wads are the only way to go, just be sure to get wads that are designed for the hulls you are reloading. We used a lot of Claybuster wads. They were copies of the name brand wads that performed equally well for less money.

I have not done it in many years but I have reloaded thousands of shells and I took trap and skeet back in college for a PE course and we reloaded all of the shells we used. I would not worry too much about the life of a shell. We used cheap hulls in class and we would reloaded hulls that I never would have thought to reload because of their condition but the instructor said not to worry about it. My favorite shells are winchester AA's. I use winchester plastic wads and I have used Unique, Herco, and Blue Dot powders.

I'm reloading for 12 guage
I reload 12, 20 and 28 gauge. 1. Depends on hull. Rem gun clubs and nitro 27's I have some that are on their 9th reload and probably have at least 2 more left in'em. AA's: average 6-8. I really like the Nitro 27's and gun clubs for the 12 gauge. My gun does not like reloaded gun clubs in a 20ga though. 2. Promo for my 12 gauge. 20/28 for my 20 and 28's. 3. Plastic wads. I'm using claybusters in my 20 and 28's but recently switched to Down Range wads for my 12.

I reloaded them until lead shot got astronomical in price. I can buy shells almost as cheap as reloading them with today's shot prices.
