OK I don't really have an AR, but if I did what scope mounts would u recommend for an M4 flat-top upper. Would be mounting a 33mm Leupold. Also any advice on back up sights? I want metal ones, the front sight will have to mount to the low profile gas block. Thanks, RH

If you can afford the Larue, I'd go with that. If not, the Burris PEPR or SWFA SSALT will work. I use the Warne RAMP mount, but that's probably not necessary for your application.

Forgot to post I'm on a tight budget on these scope mounts and really just lookin for some to get me by. I was told if u use the weaver style rings on an M4 that the high mounts would be required. Anybody know if that's true?

Yep, you'll have to jack it up using standard mounts. I'd opt for the SWFA SSALT if you can swing it.

If I go with the SWFA SSALT, will they be tall enough mounting them straight to the rail on the upper receiver without anything else involved? I will be mounting a 33mm Leupold scope. The SWFA is in my price range.
