No Record of Hunters ED course

So my dad took me when I was 12 to a hunters safety course that was be offered and I passed kept my card with me all these years until I washed it a few weeks back.
I tried getting a replacement online but kept getting an error. I called the number that was listed and the lady tells me there is no record of me ever taking the course.
I have long lost the certificate. Am I just out of luck or is there something I can do to dig up that info?
