I am finally building one closet to keep all my deer hunting clothes in, and thought about lining it with cedar. I already have made a cedar door. Now I wonder, will it be TOO "cedary"? I have dogs, woodstove, it's in the basement. What do y'all think?

Do one wall until the odor wear off then the next and so on. I did a closet 100% and the odor was too strong for ME, don't know about the deer.

I have a cedar closet that I keep my hunting clothes in. Watch out, the wife will try to put some non-hunting items in there, like blankets and towels. Resist those efforts.
I used the 4X8 sheets of cedar OSB, then trimmed it in rouch cedar.

I have a Cedar lined closet in My Man room.During the off season I store hunting clothes in tubs and trash bags with cedar filled socks. I keep my hunting clothes in trash bags or hanging in the closet during hunting season.I figure there are cedar trees everywhere I hunt.

One wall will remain block, I guess I'll do it and see if I smell too "cedary" by next fall! I have a neighbor who is sawing cedar on a band mill, and I'll be doing my basement bath in it as well. There are many cedars where I hunt, Seems like I get busted by the deer no matter what I do for scent anyway! :). Thanks, all!

it won't be too cedary. It also will be of no advantage over block or drywall. But it will look nicer. If it isn't costing you anything, go for it. Do all four walls, shelves the whole shatweree. It will look nice.
