I might should add, when calling from a field, I've never had one come out so get close enough to the trees for a rim fire shot. I guess they don't like being in the open. However, if your inside the timber, they will run into your lap if you let them.

Different ones seem to respond differently. Some run off, some keep coming and some will just stop. The field technique is what I like the best, they normally just hang up at the tree line and look.
