Oh wow. These new scopes from Zeiss have the same lenses, the T* coatings the Diavari and Victory lines have (not the same as the HT version though), and the Lotutec waterproof coatings. They have 1" tubes and a 5x magnification range. The prescription of the lenses are different than the alphas. The price of the new Conquest HD5 will go up but you will be basically getting a 1" tube Victory scope for $1500 less. I may get one when cameraland has some of the demo sales. The 3-15 version has peaked my interest.

Amazing how competition makes the free enterprise system sizzle.
And just when I was thinking the Leupold VX-6 2-12x42mm was "just what the doctor ordered," . . . . . . . You have to show me this new Zeiss!

I wish they would outlaw second focal plane reticles,,that 5-25 with Front Focal Plane and .1 Mil adjustments would be awesome,,
