That and stronger mental health checks and lessening the ability to safeguard those with serious mental health problem-that is the main problem. It is so hard to safeguard the public from these types, thanks to the groups that have no backbone and are set on their wussification of or country. I understand it is a thin-line between infringing on their Rights and protecting the general public, but something has to be done if we're ever gonna see a decrease in these mass-killings.

So every time you go to buy a gun, your going to have to see a Quack first?
If your not already under the care of one, and you know you need to get the ok from one to get a gun, your not going to go telling them what your intent is. Most of these mass shooters although evil crazy, are not stupid.
Who going to pay for that?
I dont even see if your seeing a doctor, that a doctor should have to tell anyone your a danger, UNLESS you come right out and told them you want and or have intent on killing people. Anything else would just be the doctors opinon, and doesnt mean you will or intend too, like i say unless you told him that was your intent.

Half if not more, of these people who commit these mass shootings did NOT buy thier guns legally as say went to a retail, firearms dealer.
They had someone else buy them.
Bought from an individual.
Stole from someone.
Bought black market.

The ones who did get them legally, If they been denide, they also would have resorted to another way of getting a gun(as did Sandy Hook killer).

Being leagal, laws, bans, gun free zones, means NOTHING to these people and will do NOTHING to prevent a single one of them.

Assault weapon look alike ban will do NOTHING.
Many of these mass shootings either had Assault weapon ban in place, or were not allowed in that state, or that person was not old enough to own any gun, or that person was not allowed by law to have any gun.
Gun laws and bans dont work. MORE gun laws and bans will not work. All they do is HURT law abiding citizens.

Also,If i'm not mistaken, the Virgina Tech mass shooting had the highest deaths, 32 killed, 17 wounded. No Assualt weapon, He used TWO pistols.

Semi-auto ban will do nothing.
1966 UT clock tower shooter, main weapon, bolt action remington.
15 killed, 20 or 30 something wounded.

As awful as it sounds, the Sandy Hook Sicko could have used a golf club to killed those childern

NOTHING will ever prevent any and all of these mass killings, but you think we have sense enough to see, that its a proven fact, gun laws and gun bans do NOTHING.
YOu think we have enough sense to see the ONLY thing thats proven to work is someone armed to stop these sick people ASAP.

What is the objection to mental health checks, tougher penalties for giving a juvnile a weapon, or someone caught with a gun on school property that isnt legally carrying it. This all sounds reasonable to me considering the gun violence our country is experiencing, but what do I know Im just a [censored] elitist trophy hunter who doesnt want guns sold to the mentally ill.

There are already gun laws for all of the points you mention. How about if they just start enforcing the gun laws currently on the books, rather than add new ones?
Rules are for people who lose fights.

Read more:

The administration task force led by Vice President Joe Biden is considering such measures as universal background checks for gun buyers, a national gun database, strengthening mental-health checks and tougher penalties for people carrying guns near schools or giving them to minors, sources told the newspaper.

So a tougher law for bringing a gun near the school is the answer? How freaking stupid can you be??????????

Giving them to minors

People think about that a minute.

There is ALREADY laws that keep people from selling a firearm to a minor, in most states it's 18 for rifles and shotguns and 21 for handguns.

But what about the gun YOU gave your kids or grandkids for Christmas???

Technically that's illegal if he/she's under age but we all know nobody worries about that and over look it. Since this is already in the law books Obama does NOT need Congress to do anything about it. Attorney General Eric Holder can start cracking down at anytime any he wants.

Look at it this way. YOU get your kid a deer rifle for Christmas and he's 16, that is his gun since you gave it to him. (illegal) Now opening day next season in Nov at the local WMA , he's 17 mow, you have to work but his grandfather is taking him hunting . That fulfills the requirments of TWRA having an "adult with the minor". But he takes his "new deer rifle" with him which his grandfather cannot claim as "his own" since YOU are the one that bought it. Holder can at anytime order certain LEO's to start enforcing that.
