I wondered if anyone was seeing any at the wildlife viewing area off Birdsong Rd.
Our youth minster saw 2 at the new animal shelter a few weeks ago.

They are starting to pair up and nest.Best best would be Hutsburg if no boat. You might see some at Birdsong but they are where the ducks are right now.Easy meal and Hutsburg has the ducks.

Yeah but you can still see them now.The roads they open up are mostly roads that the ducks use. That pic was from the main road at about 200 yards on the road to the river landing.

Cold weather drives the eagle numbers on lbl. If you get a good cold spell for a couple weeks they will be out in full force.(migratory and nesting birds)

Check out duncan lake between 1 and 4ish stop right at the dam and scan the woodline, youll see all the eagles you want. Dont leave the road, itll earn u a ticket *wildlife refuge*.

11 eagles may 2 doz deer,1 turkey, and a herd of buffalo pretty good day for wildlife watching.Started out slow on the Lake Barkley side.At 4P.M. there were 9 at Duncan Lake roosting for the night.Got to watch 2 flying in .Several people on the tour were convinced the Turkey flying to roost for the night had to be a Eagle.I was told by some professional bird bird watchers "Turkey,s don't fly or get that big." \:\) Glad I was in the back of the bus so the couldn't see me LMBO. I'm Surprised we didn't see a black panther. Our guides have both worked there long enough to get many reports. Then there was the guy riding his bike beside the road with a Golden German Shepard looking dog off leash across the road .Someone yelled look at the deer, someone else thought it was a wolf, then I heard no it is a coyote. This was around 4:45 P.M. We saw most the deer on the way out does feeding in fields beside the road.. All and all it was a very entertaining trip and well worth the $7 bucks.
From the sounds coming from the woods and parked trucks with Dog kennels. The rabbit hunters were having fun.
