Today was my last day in the woods, even though i walked out of the woods without a deer, i left happy. I seen more deer/wildlife today then i have all season. From 10a.m. - 11 a.m. i watched two does walk by me slowly, then later spook by a coyote. 20 minutes afterwards, i went to stretch my leg, and got busted by another deer behind me that i had no clue was there and yes i think it was one of the bucks i was after, coming in to check out the buck roar i let loose earlier. Seen four deer and two coyotes today, for a total of eight deer sightings while hunting this year. Nothing compared to previous seasons, but i was able to stick one and put a 30-30 bullet in another one. Eariler i mentioned i left the woods happy, happy that i'm capable and able to hunt (especially close to home), happy that i can enjoy a hunt even without a kill or a deer sighting, happy that i get to return home to a family (that supports my deer hunting). I could go on and on about the enjoyment that comes from hunting. All the glory goes to God.

Just wanted to share with fellow hunters and wish everybody good luck tomorrow. I hope all of you leave the woods happy tomorrow.

Good Post.

Sometimes we take the little things in life for granted.

Refreshing post from one who appreciates what God & Mother Nature have created & to remind us of the importance of health, home & hearth! Taking meat for the freezer is a nice benefit, but not crucial for a hunt to be enjoyable.

Yep, there's more to hunting than just shooting a deer.
