To heck with that, cut one up today for the first time myself and it took me all day, had it deboned in like 30 minutes but it took forever to grind it up, course all I had was a hand crank cause I can't afford an electric one but from now on I'll still debone them but I'l take the meat to the processor to let them grind and package it.

done 9 this year, for what 2 cost you can buy a grinder.

Me i get 20lbs of burger per deer.....it takes me 7 hours to debone trim cut and package a hanging skinned deer i can get 50lbs of meat out of a 85-90 lb deer i usually get 35 steaks two backstraps two loins two roast 20 lbs burger

Take the handle off your hand grinder and hook up your low-speed drill to the screw hub. Makes it go a lot easier. Also helps if meat is just a little warmer than frozen.

make sure to remember the colder meat grinds easier as well...
For the cost of having them processed, it does not take long to buy a grinder.... and a good one at that.

Agree, it's well worth the $50-60 I pay. Plus it helps keep local business open. I figured up we get about $300-$400 worth of meals from 1 deer
