Could that be circulation problems? Any numbness, or just pain?

How about something simple like plantar fasciitis ? Classic symptoms. Go see your healthcare provider. If it is some simple things can make it better

Heal spurs and plantar faciitis. I have had them both. Go to a pediatrist. I had surgery on one foot and tore the tendon in the other and haven't had any pain since.

Neuropaphy most always starts with a tingling in the toes. Then goes to feeling like needles being stuck in your toes.Gradually covers your whole foot and up your legs. This usually takes a few years to get this far.It is nerve damage and does not regenerate. Most always is worse laying down and relief comes when standing and walking.
Heal spurs give deadly pain when first getting out of bed or after sitting for awhile.Usually quit after a few minutes of walking. Most of this will be on your toes.
I have both.Shot in the heal many years ago and havent had spur pain since. They are still there.Just no pain.
Not much you can do about neuropophy.Dont let a chiropractor tell you he can make dead nerves grow again.Cannt be done.
Good luck.

Go see your doctor right away. I have been a diabetic for 22 years and you do not want to fool around with any type of foot problems.

Good luck. You've hit it right on the head, sometimes it feels like my toenails are being pulled out.
