Wonder what the odds of a bream biting a worm today would be?
I have never even thought about trying to catch them this time of the year, much less tried it.

I might today though.

Thought about trying to catch some more trout but the action has been VERY slow every time I have gone.
Just thought about maybe throwing a worm with a float close to the bottom and see if a bream would bite.

Those trout like worms too! Mix up your baits. You will find something the trout are hitting. Round floating baits like berkley power eggs will work well.

Been fishing with corn on bottom, berkley power bait (corn flavored) on bottom and then both with floats.
Also been throwing a rooster tail as I waited.
Caught one on corn, with float and one with the rooster tail.
Got one small bite last time with the power bait on bottom but when I picked up the pole it was gone.

I might suggest you switch to fluorocarbon line and a long shank laser sharp light wire hook size 8. You will be amazed at how many more fish you catch.

Ruger, I have never fished for anything this time of year except for trout and walleye. Let us know how you do.

I'm fixing to try and fill a stringer of bream after deer season. I will use nightcrawler and/or small plastic grubs or trout magnets under a bobber

Hey Ruger my neighbor went bream fishing 2 weeks ago and kept 23 bream and a 7lb. catfish. He was fishing in 21 ft. of water with no cork. He'd let the cricket hit the bottom and reel it up just a little and they would hit it pretty good.

Where he get crickets this time of the year?
I haven't built my box and ordered any yet.
