Set them out yesterday afternoon along the creek bank; gonna go check them in a couple hours. My first set this season; hopefully it will be like Christmas all over again. Hopefully there will be pics to follow!

Good luck with them! Just remember that the coons in the traps have to die (or be released right there). It is illegal to keep them alive for pets, training dogs, stocking other areas, etc.

Anybody have a magnificent coon cooking recipe? I worked in Dyersburg for years - some of the older coon hunters BBQ'd the coons often and brought em buy for us to eat - some dang fine eatin too! I tried a few, many years ago, and did not get the same results \:\)

Crock pot. My sister used to cry when it was all gone when she was little.

Well, nothing to write home about today....just two coons. Oh yeah, and one skunk (not pictured) - I decided to let him "air out" for 24 hours after dispatching him.

I've eaten one wrapped in foil and cooked in the oven that was really tasty (I think it was basically cooked in store-bought barbecue sauce).

I also tried one cooked in a similar fashion, but with pineapple and some other spices. I personally thought that was gross, but then again, I don't care much for cooked pineapple.
