If you took a Savage Axis, Rem 788, and a Browning X Bolt and threw them in a pile, and put some pieces back together, this would be the result. At least it looks a little better than the 710/770.

. . . . . . being built in America's largest rifle manufacturing facility located in Mayfield, Ky.
That's cool! I didn't know America's largest rifle making facility was located in Mayfield!
FOR THE MONEY, that new rifle looks like a great value.

I'd say the mixed parts came from a Savage Axis, Ruger American and Marlin XL7. It has a barrel nut like the Savages. At least it's not a pressed in barrel like the 770s.

That's hideous. Where is Remington getting this brain trust to design rifles?
Cmon Big Green, put out a light rifle thats easy on the eyes and not a 710/770 upgraded abortion piece of plastic.

I want preface what I'm about to say with the fact that I'm a Remington guy. 95% of my rifles are Remington, 90% of my shotguns are Remington, heck even my smokeless muzzleloaders are Remington based.
I don't understand what you guys at Big Green are doing.
Titaniums - discontinued. Stainless model sevens - discontinued. Sendero - discontinued. LSVF - discontinued. 700ml - discontinued.
It seems like when you build something that people like, you stop just to make them mad. Have you priced a Titanium or stainless 7 lately?
I'm sure the rifle at the top of this post is very functional, but I won't buy it. I dont want or need a Buck Rogers rifle, it's hideous. I'll spend twice or three times the money on a well built beautiful rifle. I just don't get it. If this is what the market research says people want, I must be way out of touch.
Why did the 700 need a cheaper uglier cousin? Bring back the good stuff. It was never broken, why fix it?

Receiver and ejection port look similar to a Styer Pro Hunter, so add that to the mix as well.
