I've never built a wooden stand that I wouldn't be confident in hunting in at least 2 seasons(pressure treated or not). If not well built enough to last AT LEAST 2 seasons, wasn't built right in the first place!!!!!!!!

By the way I have hunted in several wooden stands in my lifetime, probably not the wisest choice. Killed my first deer out of a wooden ladder stand.
I love my millennium stands.I have M100 and a M25. I have to say the M25 its just as comfortable. The only con is it comes with a ratchet to fasten the stand to the tree.I replaced mine with a chain. I also ratchet strap the foot platform to the stand

We still use plenty of wooden stands. All we do is check all of them before season starts. Replace any damaged boards and tighten down any loose ones.

A friend handed me one last year. It was hard to put up cause it had loops that fit over a center bolt. I hung one that had clip that went on the side of upright rails and it was lots easier. So comfort is not only thing you should look at. If u can't hang it it don't matter how comfortable it is. I'm saving up to buy one and may get one of those that has the bracket that stay on tree. Y'all know about them, any good?

The millenium uses a receiver that stays on the tree, easy to hang and something you can sit in all day.
