Dropping a fuel tank isn't hard. Draining upwards of 26 gal. of gas is. Then, you have to put it back in place. Working against gravity is much more difficult.

update
the guy that works on my dads tractors came and got (120 miles round trip) and i bought the pump and he put it on for me for $200
i would have done it myself but it was worth that not having to risk aggravating my shoulder injury
i really want to thank all of you for your input
there are some really fine folks on here

I did my own on a 98 Tahoe. I would have gladly paid $200 for the labor. Doing it by yourself sux and nobody mentioned the little special tool you have to have to disconnest the fuel lines that is a little tricky. But I did it myself because I dont know a Mechanic I could trust to clean the tank and change the filter, ect.
