yes i would rather invest my own money like i do now. i am not counting on social security for retirement. I'm counting on me. I don't want it withheld ....
X2. I'd opt out tomorrow if I could and bank on myself to take care of myself. I've never ever factored SS into my retirement equation.

Yes some people need it but i would venture to say that more draw it that are able to work than the disabled or infirm.
Way too many sponges and leeches drawing this money.
I would rather invest my own money and I'm also not counting on social security for retirement. However, the vast majority of the country's voters, including just about all Democrats, Independents and most Republicans, do not agree with you and I on this subject. Social Security is sacred to many, many Americans.
