bjohnson I agree on the Saiga's, guess what surprised me most that it was still on the shelf!
I'd take my 887 Nitro Magnum Tactical any day over it

My problem with the AR 12 Gauge or the SAIGA 12 Gauge is the limited capacity of the common box magazines. Why buy a gun that may very well be illegal soon because of it's looks(it's a dreaded "assault gun") and yet it offers no significant capacity advantage over a common Mossberg 500 pump shotgun? The Mossberg 590 holds 9 shells. Remington 870's can be easily modified to hold 8 or 9 shells. Yes, the SAIGA with the 20 round drum does give you something extra assuming you can get at least 2 or 3 of the drums when you buy the gun. But be aware that the drum does not open up like the Chinese AK drums do. You have to load them one at a time through the top against the spring force. That means that if you want it to be ready for action, it has to stay under pressure all the time. If I had a SAIGA 12 Gauge, I'd want at least 2 drums so I could rotate them monthly. Or partially load it with say 15 rounds instead of the full 20.
I havent seen a drum for the AR shotguns yet.
