Wolf River WMA Question

Has it ever been considered to allow rifle hunting at the Wolf River WMA? With the amount of land out there, I am trying to understand why only bow and muzzleloader hunting is allowed for deer.

Management and regulations at Wolf River are designed to benefit the small game hunter. Yes rifle hunting was considered when the regulations were first set up but the decision was made to limit weapon types to archery and muzzleloader.
