Have you tried any of the mods for them? Namely the o- ring in forearm trick. Don't know if your allowed to post info about orther sites here. If you are interested p.m. and I will give you more info. Did a couple of mods and after barrel was broke in. It really came to life.

Try different ammo! My son's .243 wouldn't group < 6" @ 100 yards, until I tried the Federal Fusion 95 grain bullets. Once I found the ammo it likes, it will group about an 1" .
Also, make 100% sure when you are sighting it in, that you aren't resting the barrel on anything. My son's .243 and my 45-70 tend to spray bullets when shooting out of a lead sled. It does better when shot off bags

Oh yea Lade, I have the other rifle for this weekend. That gives me a reason to go eat chicken too haha. Ill prolly be ready to get out the house by then with the new baby too!
