While deer hunting the other day, I heard a group of gobblers do this. I've heard it before, but I still think that it is one of the neatest and funniest things in the outdoors. How many of you have heard it before?

It's one of my favorite times to hunt because I don't even have to call, I can just ease up on them

i sat out a storm in the truck one morning during turkey season a couple of years ago. the storm abated and i started getting it together when at least 7 different birds gobbled at the next clap of thunder. soon afterwards, 3 or 4 of them gobbled at a train whistle.

They'll gobble at dang near anything. Had somebody tell me one time if they were running late they'd slam the truck door as hard as they could.

easy's right - they're distracted at the storn, just take it slow, and you may sneak to 50 yds before you know it. My favorite time to sneak
