Also don't be afraid to shoot one from 2 inches away, thats right I said inches. The safety of the dogs is the most important part.

Ask in the TWRA forum, I would think you need a type 94 but I'm not %100 sure about that

Well i just called the Region III Office and they told me the hog hunting didn't start until the 7th of January. Then i ask them if i need any other license instead of a type 001 and they told me that i didn't on this hunt so i'm good to go now.

I contacted TWRA just now because I thought this sounded a little fishy to me but I was told you don't need any license to go on the hunt. NONE not even out of state residence

That sounds like a pretty good idea. I've never hunted them at all, let alone with dogs, but I can imagine the level of nervousness with all of the "tag-alongs" in the woods trying to pop one being chased.

Ive seen a couple with some hunter's orange kevlar vests (or whatever they make them out of).

Best of luck, and be safe!

Thats probably TWRA's goal,is to get as many hog doggers in there and get them thinned out..Or maybe you hog doggers fought so hard to get this hunt back,TWRA gave you guys just what you wanted???

You typed it too fast for those guys from Kentucky. They can't read that fast.
