What would you suggest for a person without dogs?

i wished i could come but i don't know how to get there. i always wanted to go hog hunting. so anyone got any directions on how to get there from union county?

Don't need to see "your" vet bills, I've got my own. Not saying you don't take care of your dogs either, those spent guns are proof of that. Just saying showing cut up dogs on this site doesn't do our kind any good

Do i need any other hunting license then what i have to hunt hogs?

I have the type 001 small game&fishing. if need other licenses which ones do i need to get?

Ask in the TWRA forum, I would think you need a type 94 but I'm not %100 sure about that

Well i just called the Region III Office and they told me the hog hunting didn't start until the 7th of January. Then i ask them if i need any other license instead of a type 001 and they told me that i didn't on this hunt so i'm good to go now.

Yes. Just leave them where you see them. If there on a busy road it's common practice to take a small piece of rope and tie them to a tree. Don't stick my dog in your Honda civic and take it to the animal shelter. LoL actually had that happen this year

I expect to see a lot more on our lease property that borders catoosa starting Saturday!

Any predictions on harvest numbers for this hunt? Its new and all, just excited to see how many hogs are left out there.

I talked with 2 houndsmen today who had one of their dogs run over on the road. They said they' only seen 2 hogs killed. Another of their hounds was lost in the woods.

Was it crowded?

Will those small hogs survive and take up with others somewhere? They'd be just right for grilling.

I met a group of guys from Tellico Plains the other day. Also met a group from Cleveland. They were all pretty cool. I'm going back tomo despite the rain.

Oh yeah there were a couple others- almost forgot. I found their hound on my way out. They'd killed five hogs and only checked in one. The other 4-one of which was over 350# were left in the woods because removal was nearly impossible according to them.

Well all of them except that one Jarhead killed. He stuck it in a Kroger sack and carried it out LoL

I just got word that my crew got another one but it got washed down Daddy's creek. Thankfully all the dogs made it out

I bet it was rough hunting today with all this rain!
