Federal Premium load with the 165 gr Sierra Game King bullet,,Hornady Light Magnum with 165 gr Interlock,
I have seen both these loads shoot 1/2 moa and the terminal performance on deer is top of the line,,

Stay away from superformance ammo in a 308. Their custom line is more accurate IMO

I've had several 308s...all of them favored the 165-168 grain bullets. I think the "standard" twist rate in them fits that weight bullet well. I tried heavier and lighter weight but those 165s group extremely well and are quite destructive on deer.
