My dad has a 410 bolt action with no markings of any kind. Does anybody know how to go about identifing it? The gun has a screw on choke and the safety is on the tang and is switched from red dot for safe over to green dot for fire. Trying to clean it up nowas it is covered in rust from were my dad had forgot about it and did not have it in the gun cabinet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds exactly like a Mossberg 16ga bolt action I had. Think it was a 190 if I remember correctly

Took it today to a gentleman, that several people told me to go see, who knows alot about shotguns and he said it is a Mossberg. He said he would do some checking and come up with the model number but he knew it was a Mossberg off top of his head. Giving it another Kroil bath hopefully it will clean up and look decent when I'm done with it.

He said its a Berg model 183 C and I believe someone did say that so you were correct. Thanks fellas for the help I appreciate it.
