Going to try some reloads for my Rem 7400 .270. I was just going to see if anyone on here had any powder/bullet combinations that might work for a 7400 and also a bolt action .270. Have done some reading and it looks like the biggest difference in opinion is what type of powder to use for a semi auto. Any help would be appreciated.

My all time classic load over the years was 54g IMR 4350 under a 130g bullet- Sierra Gameking usually.

my BIL has a 7400 and we worked a load for it using the 130 Sierra Pro Hunter flatbase bullet and IMR4064 powder,, we were able to achieve 100% reliability and 3/4 MOA accuracy and 3,000 fps,, most of the slower powders that get the most FPS wouldnt shoot for squat in the Rem Auto.

Thanks for the recommendations guys. How many grains of powder have you narrowed it down to?

My load for my rifle is 54 gr. for my bolt. Load data come from Nosler manual and I fine tuned it from there as each rifle is different.
