I have a scope I ordered on line a few years ago. It is a high quality scope, but I ordered it accidently with parallex adjustment. I have been hesitant to put it on a deer hunting rifle, as I don't want to fool with making adjustments while hunting. But, I just bought a new rifle and hate to buy a new scope with this one sitting on the shelf.

Exactly how does it affect your shooting? Can I set it on say 100 yards or 75 yards setting and leave it there? Any help or advice is appreciated.

I have noticed on mine, if you have it set at 100 yards and you look at something say 25 yards away it will be out of focus.

I haven't really experimented at leaving it at 100 and looking at say, 200 yet.

I took it outside and piddled with it this morning and noticed that also. The "out of focus" not bad enough that it would affect a shot, but I wonder how much it affects crosshair position.

Mine has it. I leave it on 100 yds unless I am shooting past 300. target is a little fuzzy, but it doesnt change where the bullet hits.

Put it on your gun and don't worry about it. It will not affect you much in a hunting situation. You can see differences when shooting on paper at different yardages.

I've got two of them. Set it at 100 and let it go. If the deer is at 25 yrds you can tell it but other than that kills the same.

point of impact can possibly change 5" +/- at 1000 yards

Pastorbmp probably has like me a scope over 9x. I have parralax on my Bushnell 4-12x 3200 Elite. The way I understand it is for scopes over 9x. Over , and some crazy physics come into play. I just normally keep it on 100 as it seems to work best with my bifocals.

I know there are some scope gurus on here that can answer this question.
