Even though Congress - the republicans, were virtually impotent, I think it was Obama's intent all along for us to go over the cliff. He'll get more tax dollars to spend and the republicans will get all the blame from the media.

You got it. Obama has been blaming the Republicans since 2010.
People, go look up YOURSELVES the deals that were put forward to keep this from happening. Obama and the Democrats would not put up one dime in REAL spending cuts. All they ever did was throw in some small BS cuts that never amounted to anything.

Agreed; he will then swoop in and save the middle class with tax relief. The Republicans will have some leverage with the debt limit, but they will take it right to the last second and just raise it higher without any spending cuts.

If that's the case.... I'm done paying federal taxes... They need to live within their means just like I have to every month...
I can spend my own money just as easily as they can.... and it would actually benefit me.
