It's that time of the year we start using our chainsaws. My wife made me buy some chaps and helmet 10 yrs. ago and the chaps have saved my legs at least ten times, as a matter of fact I'm on my second pair, the first ones are cut up so bad. The price of chaps and helmet are nothing to an er trip. I've also had limbs fall out of a tree I'm cutting and hit me on my helmet!

Love my chaps and with steel toe boots on you're pretty much covered from the waist down. A good investment for sure.

I've seen with my own eyes what NOT wearing chaps can lead to. Simply horrifying. You wouldn't believe the damage a chainsaw will do to a person's leg with even the slightest touch.

Do you have a recommendation on a brand name or where to buy them? I spent 4-1/2 hours yesterday sawing and can use a pair.
