think of it this way:someone knows you have a gun,who they gonna shoot first.(in certain situation)my opinion is concealed is safer way to go
Better chance he will turn and leave if he sees alot of guns around. What are the chances he shoots you first rather than the other 10 open carrying permit holders next to you?
Been held up trice at gun point. It wont happen again,
Refuse to be a victim.

I have the same gun in black and liked it so much traded my full size XD 40 for a full size SR40. I like the adjustable sights and not a bad trigger.

Once one has a carry permit, open carry is legal in Tennessee. It is very seldom a good idea, though.
In fact, it is a stupid thing to do to carry open. You become the first target if anything bad is planned and you are around.............if you know what I mean.

Those are my feelings as well, though I was not quite so blunt in expressing them.

Yes open carry is perfectly legal, but generally it isn't a good idea to do so in public. It also takes away your element of surprise. I see no advantage whatsoever to open carry. ...and you might find yourself in a bad situation if someone calls the police and reports a man with a gun. Chances are their not going to report someone carrying and not causing trouble. More likely a man with a gun implying that your up to no good. So the police respond to what they have to assume is a dangerous situation. I don't want that to happen to me.

I have had a permit to carry in 5 states and studied carry laws pretty extensively. I have never come across anything about a badge to carry, open or otherwise.
Sounds more like someone trying to impersonate a LEO to me.

The guy that taught my ccw said that open carrying is a bad idea because most of the time you are the first person to gave something happen to you. If a criminal knows you gave a gun you are more likely to be robbed because they want your gun.

I have the same gun except in black. I love it. I just haven't found a holster I like yet. I thought at times I'd like to have a lcp but I think I will stick with this just because of more shots and in my truck I have a glock 20sf loaded with 15 rounds of won't get back up. I just hope and pray I never need either.
