Can you use 17 cal for squirrel hunting? Or any other small game?

So 22 is better, i wana eat and make a tree mount with several of them. Never squirrel hunted before. Thx

use a shotgun if you want to mount them. the smaller holes are much easier to fix.

And use a .22 for eating squirrels, so you don't have to look for pellets.

Depending on where they hit the squirrel, sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. I personally prefer 6 shot.

+1 on #6. My little stevens 620 and some high brass #6 does a number on them.

Low brass #6. high brass tends to tear them up a bit more.
