Not sure if you WY hunters have kept up with this, but I found this info on another site. Its worth reading if you plan to hunt this state anytime soon. http://www.biggamehunt.net/forum/wyoming-hunting-license-fee-increse-0

They only go one way in price.

Your right...I got this feeling that a lot of hunters are going to spend their points in 2013 to avoid the 2014 increase. Bad news for drawing a 2013 tag, but good news for 2014 tags. Bad news for my wallet too!

No it hasnt passed, but an increase is very likely for 2014. I was also told nothing drastic will change with the point system either. Those of us with points will be ok.

ive been going to wyoming to deer hunt and ive been keeping up with this increase stuff. I can tell u if they raise buck tags as much as they say they are going to I wont be going back.. I really enjoy seeing so many deer while out there, but reality is i can kill a larger deer here. Im not gonna spend that kind of money to watch a bunch of 120-130 inch deer walk around.

...I got this feeling that a lot of hunters are going to spend their points in 2013 to avoid the 2014 increase. Bad news for drawing a 2013 tag..... I was planning a 2013 antelope hunt before the increases and I'm now not sure what I'm going to do. I was originally going to cash in my 4 points and draw a SW corner hunt. Fly to Salt Lake, rent an SUV, hunt 3-4 days, then head up and fish the Green River for 3-4 days. Now I'm thinking about finding a new plan. Maybe head a little north and find a unit that will only take 3 points to draw, which will give me an extra point for the possible increase in people cashing in points. Maybe fish the Wind River Indian Reservation. I've got a lot of research to do over the next couple months.
I've got 3 deer points that I'll probably just keep buying into. I'm seriously thinking about concentrating on Colorado's high country muzzleloader deer over the next few years and keep buying points for WY.
I've also got 3 elk points. These will be cashed in when I'm ready for a full blown, guided, backcountry elk hunt. This will probably be a OIL hunt for me, so I'm not too worried about a few hundred dollars extra in tag fees.

With those amount of points I would check out the areas around Cody. I seen some nice lopers up there and very few hunters. Plus your close to the park for great fishing. But with 3 points you got a lot of options, even if the apps get flooded this year. But I could be wrong...I hoping to get my granddad in 83 with the special application this year.
