Are you allowed to use a shotgun during the muzzleloader and/or rifle season? Over the years I have killed deer with rifles, bows and muzzleloaders. I used a shotgun at Fort Campbell once but was unable to make a kill. I am looking to branch out and try soemthing new if you will. I do not have the handbook near by to look up the regs. Any help is appreciated!

Killed plenty of turkeys and birds with my nova! Intrested in using a differnt weapon for deer. I figure if the the regs allow us hunters to use it why not excercise our rights! I would venture to use a spear, like a few other states, if there was a legel season that was open to allow it. Thanks for the info!

Shotguns with slugs (not buckshot with the possible exception of a couple of counties by private act) are legal during the g/m/a season.

THanks for the help guys! Probably will pull the the 12 gauge out for a few hunts next year. I would like to get a mature buck with a shotgun. As right now I am sticking with the ole trusty, A-bolt brownng 270 to finish out the year! I am looking at purchasing a rifled barrel shotgun or a replacement barrel for the nova. Thansk again and choot'em straight!

I hunt corp land once or twice a year and rifles are not allowed. Normally used my encore muzzleloader but wanted multiple shots so I bought a Mossberg 20-gauge with a rifled barrel last year. Didn't want to break the bank and she barked once last year and the deer went straight down. She probably won't see daylight this year the way its looking.

I've been wanting to try a rifled shotgun as well , both as a personal challenge and to have an easier option for shotgun-only WMAs instead of fooling with a muzzleloader.
