Anybody know where I could find some seedling chinkapin or chinquapin trees. My dad brought some home when I was 10 or 12 and planted them. They finally died out after several years. You can buy them online but I would rather have some native ones if I could find them. Thanks

Check your local county conservation dept. I know the one here sells chinkapins and several other native fruit trees in the spring at great prices

Have never seen them growing in Tennessee. They grew wild on my uncle's farm in Virginia. We used to pick sackfulls of them to bring home.

Check East Tenn. Nursery (Tn Division of Forestry) I have them in Marshall Co. deer love them!
