Shot a nice buck this afternoon he went into some of the thickest stuff you ever seen and swampy found good blood going back first thing in the morning .He did not go very far..Saw 3 bucks together all where nice ones.

Me and 2 of my friends went back that night to get the deer i shot. I told them to wear rubber boots because there is a lake there and it had been over flowing into this thicket from all the rain we have had lately. Any way we get there find the blood trail find the deer start pulling him out after about an hour where about 10 or so yards and where out of the thicket. Friend falls backwards on a old cedar tree looks like punji sticks one of the limbs goes in his right thigh looks like a pretty bad wound we get him out other friend goes get the truck i get the deer the rest of the way out.We put the deer in the truck go to the emergency room.Stayed there until after 1:00 in the morning lost my cell phone.Friend is ok but very sore going to miss at least one week of work because of me.Deer is at the processor now going to pick it up and give it to him he earned it.I should have just waited till the next morning to get that deer. Deer was an 8 point. What a bad night i am glad in wasn't any worse than it was.Sorry it took me so long to reply back.

holy smokes! that's awful. Hope your buddy recovers quickly.
I know how it feels to call on someone for help and have something bad happen to them. Makes you feel like a jerk, but it's a 2-way street and of course you'll be there for him if he ever needs it.
