When I go get my permit that is. The guy at gander said TN is a handgun carry permit so u are allowed to carry concealed or open...is that true? I just thought it was concealed. Anyway...it's a Ruger SR9c with a 10 rd clip and a 17 rd clip

You can carry an open/visible weapon but you have to have a visible handgun carry permit badge If I'm not mistaken...

Nice gun and yes TN is a carry state and you don't have to conceal. Personally I don't walk around showing it though.

I bet there were 100 + people lined up at the gun counter while I was there...and their inventory on long guns were severely depleted

Once one has a carry permit, open carry is legal in Tennessee. It is very seldom a good idea, though.
