That seems like a good idea, although you might have to sign a waiver for them saying that they aren't liable if the fire got out of control or something.

Burns were always something that I wondered about, since they seem very effective, but also worrisome. I think I might have to plan mine the day before rain was forecast, just for a backup plan \:\)

Bayou, you should call Clint Borum with TWRA. He is in the murfresboro office. Burning is part of his job, and he spoke about it at one of the QDMA meetings. Seems like he said he would be happy to.come out and do a burn on anyone's property

I did my own and the fire department came and put it out. Made a mess too driving their machinery over my fields. I had to finish it late that night. They are great when you need them, but can be pesky too.

That is interesting. I have some areas that I would like to burn, but I am scared to death I'll burn down the entire forest!
