Rifles lega to hunt coyote

I have read to hunting guide and surfed the net trying to pin down what is legal to hunt a coyote with and when. I know during deer season I can kill them with Center fire. But after deer season can I still carry a center fire to the woods to hunt coyote with?
The hunters guide seems to allow it, but I have read some post that say you must use rimfire after deer season in TN. Is this true, or can I use my 30-06 that I already own?
