What is your major priority once the season is over in preparing for the next season?

Move stands, shooting lanes cleared if needed, locating trails and sign?

Clearing out an old pasture and opening it up to about an acre planting fruit trees and mast trees and putting small food plot. Knocking down my 10yr old shooting house and rebuilding it to make it suitable for my kids to hunt in. Clearing out all the young beech trees and cutting a few hinge cuts in trees to create some cover.. This is all on my small peice of property. I have some long lists for the other properties I hunt.

Finding a property to lease, scout it, and then get stands hung and blinds up/ brushed in.

Put out minerals in march mainly "Lucky Buck" mineral then put cameras up in June to start seeing antler growth. Sometime in between work on blinds and clearing any undesirable brush or limbs

Clear lanes, move stands and put up my new stands. clear an area that is semi-clear, but rocky, and get the rock out of there. Lime, and plant clover or something.

Since my neighbor only put up hot air to buy the land I lease, it seems like I still have my lease. We have identified at least two new places that will support small food plots and we are going to be working on them. Also need to get out some mineral licks, cut some brush for shooting lanes, and try to clear new paths to our new blind locations to cut down on noise. Also going to pick up two more cameras. Strange, we found two places on this property where deer never travel and there is no reason I can see. Not a footprint, scrape, rub, nothing at all since at least last July. Not even trophy rock or attractants worked in those two spots but they sure did in other spots.

Going to get a dozer in to cut some fire breaks and extend a few plots. Will probably also plant a few fruit trees and run a post season camera survey.
