I can't wait till turkey season starts here in TN. While deer hunting here, on 3 different trips, I had about 15 wild turkeys just walk right infront of me (one time within about 7 yards)...oh how bad I still wanted to pull that trigger haha....but now with my Mossberg 835, I feel like I'm ready!! Who's with me?

Deer season is just passing time to get to turkeys in the Spring. I freaking hate winter, and the only thing which keeps me sane is my bird dogs and knowing only 2 months until I will be loading the truck to head south.

I'm starting to get alittle itchy myself. Been seeing alot of birds in the winter flocks has me thinking about it. With deer season winding down, I figure it won't be long till my thoughts get consumed with wanting to go.

Nothing like chasing those gobblers in the spring. I'd trade half of deer season for one more week of turkeys.

I love it too. I love to hear the gobbles in the Spring. I'd rather kill a gobbler at fly down buy, about 9:00 am or later is awesome too.

I think I keep a low grade fever most of the year. I was deer hunting this morning and couldn't resist pulling out a mouth call and messing with a flock of hens.

Do you hunt Alabama any? We are trying to plan a trip there and possibly SD if the weather permits.
