I want YOUR suggestions on what I should buy with it.

Go!

Fishing season is starting!! I got one too and am headed for the crappie jigs, fishing line and other tackle. I am also going to be making my own jigs shortly and am thinking about getting the kit they have there.

Actually I try to avoid things I might buy/use for guiding since that's a "Business Expense" for Uncle Sam. Gifts really need to be something totally fun and frivilous that I would normally never buy for myself.

Whenever I have a gift certificate like that, I always try to buy something that will last and that I can continually use.

I try not to use it on something that is expendable (ammo, food, etc). How about a knife? Flashlight? Headlamp?

Oh that's easy - just send it to me. That way you won't have to worry yourself with tax issues and won't have to rack your brain trying to figure out just what you'll buy.

Hey - I'm here for ya man!

What else are you in to besides fishing and writing?

I am headed up there in a few minutes and will be hitting the camping/cooking section. I have a gift card plus a lot of rewards points that are burning a hole in my pocket. Of course I have to make it past all the sale tables in the fishing section first.

I will probably add to my outdoor kitchen. I really need a countertop deep fryer for all those quail we will be killing when we go to the shoot.

If you are like me, that 50$ will cost you 500$ by the time you are done.

I would put a few bucks with it and get one of these:

Everybody needs sharp tools and knives.

Ya'll are doing good... the socks and sunglasses suggestion caught my eye.

At risk of getting electronically slapped (or a butt-kickin' from hubby), I might go for Bowdacious's suggestion, if a modeling session came with it.

After reading some of the joking posts here an idea spawns...wander the store, pick you out a victim, let the store manager or cashier know when this person checks out this is for them. Then stand out of the way and watch the reaction! I like being a secret Santa when I have the opportunity.

Great idea....but you better hurry, you are a good two hours behind me and I am headed that way now. I guess I can go by smoky mountain knife works first and back track a bit. Just let me know what time to be there! LOL
