I got to put together some sauce now. I will make a few more first. Then put it all together and see what happens.

Right on! I had some done at Dino's here in Memphis a while back, and they didn't last long at all. I got a lot of ground this time with the intent of making my own this go around. Looking forward to seeing your results.

My wife has made them several times, both fried and baked (I recommend baking). We kept some of them set aside from the sauce, and she made meatball sandwiches with them a day or two later. Those meatballs were great!!
I need to find the recipe...
