10-22 Ammo?

The boy got a pretty decked out 10-22 for Christmas.... It has a bull barrel, adjustable junk all over the stock, bipod & loads of other things...... Anyway, he wants to do some 200yd shooting this weekend... What is a good ammo for these things?... I would like consistant clean ammo....... Any thoughts?

IDK about the auto`s but my bolt rifles thrive on SK Standard Plus,for cheap ammo I use CCI SV,,for plinking and just messing around Fed Auto Match is good bulk ammo,

I like the Green Tag ammo but I wouldn't know what to expect at 200 yards....

it may be hard to believe but at long range the 1050 speed ammo holds better in the wind than the high velocity rounds,,
from a 25 yard zero you will need around 25 Minutes of elevation to zero at 200 yards,,some scopes wont get that far without a taper base or a set of Burris Rings with the offset inserts,,
good luck,at the moment long range rimfire shooting is getting all my range time,

Yeah, I'm definitely gonna have to offset the scope somehow..... We shot a few times just playing around yesterday & I learned real quick that I was gonna have to taper somehow.....

+1 on federal automatch. My Norinco Cz copy loves it. Now if I could just find some...

The hard part now is probably going to be finding ANY .22 LR ammo to shoot in it. Nearly all the stores here are wiped clean of it. Benton Shooters still had some as of last week, but were $35 a box for it for the bulk stuff that's normally $20 a box.

Try Gunbroker, one vendor is selling at auction quite a bit of rimfire bullets but only in case lots. Grafs happens to have some lapua 22 rimfire for sale.
